Ecosystem Enterprise Development Initiative in Korup Rumpis
ERuDeF Buea - in-person, University of Buea, Buea, Cameroon
This idea is holistic and an unique approach in addressing the root causes of chronic poverty and food insecurity, economic and environmental degradation, as well as the lost ecosystem functions necessary for a healthy environment in the Korup Rumpis. At the end of the implementation, the project will break the poverty cycle and uplift the people and the community into a more viable economic system. At the end, a community philanthropic institution (to support the sustainable development projects), a community bank and community social enterprises would have been established. Hence, this idea will simultaneously address the root causes of land degradation, food insecurity, jobs and economic recovery.

The IUPAC Italian Young Observers research for sustainability
This event has been recorded and uploaded at the GCS YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRclYbfhyKE , National Research Council (CNR) of Italy
In the occasion of Global Conversation on Sustainability event, the group of Italian IUPAC Young Observers want to express its commitment for sustainability. In a short video we will present, in “pills”, some of the main challenges related to sustainability that we are facing in our work, and possible solutions that chemists are developing. We will also suggest good practices and actions that anyone can take to achieve the ONU Sustainable Developments Goals. We invite the general public to watch the video starting from Sept 25, and comment it to share opinions, views, criticisms and solutions in view of a more sustainable development.
